Baptisms and libraries

narose and I have the honor of being godparents to James Paul Andrew DelRosso-Freeman. Thanks again to Jeana and Dave for the honor, and hopefully I'll have some pictures of the auspicious event to post very soon. Little Jamie has joined his sister Sofia in the ranks of the christened, having long since joined her in the ranks of Kids Who Are Totally Awesome.
Secondly, I have recently returned from Computers in Libraries 2008. It recursively inspired me to start a new blog in which I discuss it and other items of note in my quest for librarianship:
The Nascent Librarian
My goal is to post substantive library-related things to that blog twice a week, while trying to keep this LJ updated with my non-librarian shenanigans. We'll see how it goes. In any case, if anyone here is interested in my ramblings about books and web resources and so forth, please feel free to drop by.
