OK, let's try this "update" thing...
Dec. 4th, 2003 12:23 amYou know, it's sad when your LJ is just quiz result after quiz result until you just wish Flanders was dead.
So, updates:
JOBS
Still looking for something full-time, but Kaplan's still treatin' me right. I just spent the last month tutoring three LSAT students, all of whom were great to work with. My GMAT class is a bit tougher, seeing as it meets 10 AM on Saturdays, but that wraps up this week. Started a new session of teacher training yesterday, and the trainees seem like a decent bunch. I haven't run a training session since the summer, so we'll see how it goes.
The job search has been on a bit of a hold this week, since the combination of the training session's commencement and the December 6th LSAT leaves me with little free time. I'm hoping to kick it up again next week, with renewed vigor. As folks reminded me, I've got a goddammed Masters now, and I should damn well try to use it.
I shouldn't have needed reminding.
DIPLOMA
I have one. As in, my matriculation is official, and Cornell would have to really work at taking it back now. Bwa ha haaa...
DOG
He is really, really lazy.
THANKSGIVING
Really, really great. My parents were in better moods than they have been in a long time. The entire family was together for the first time in ages, and we played a nice game of Trivial Pursuit -- which was far more enjoyable than our traditional family pastime, Wanton Verbal Cruelty. Also, we played Scoop, which may well be the greatest social card game ever invented. It was, all in all, a tremendous amount of fun.
I did miss my grandfather, though. Scoop's not the same without him.
COMICS
Snagged JLA/Avengers #3 and Superman/Batman#4 today. Both series continued to entertain me. I also put hold on copies of 1602 #'s 1 & 2, which I can't wait to get my grubby paws on.
Whew. Ben was right: these shotgun updates are easier. :-)
