Good weekend
Nov. 4th, 2003 12:42 amYes, our weekends run Sunday to Monday, for those who didn't know.
As I noted last time, we had a Miss Margaret in town. Lots of fun; spent time chilling with Mister Rich Austin, going out for delicious dinners, watching lots of movies, and discovering key truths.
Truths like: Vanilla-flavored vodka fulfills its destiny when it is used to make White Russians.
Also finished Neuromancer, something which I'm a bit ashamed has taken me this long to do. Tried to read it a couple of years back, but lost interest about a third of the way through. My recent enjoyment of Snow Crash inspired me to try again, and I'm happy to say that I devoured Gibson's masterpiece like so much delicious gelato.
I'm thoroughly pleased that my year-long slump with regards to the finishing of novels seems well and truly ended. I'm about a hundred pages into Darwinia now, and plan to move onto some Raymond Chandler after that.
Whether I end up standing in my pocket and slowly turning grey remains to be seen.
