A day of extremes, and still so early...
Well, things started off very well, in no small part because this left me all giggly:

But then I went and watched this video, which I believe originally aired on ABC News. It's a US Apache helicopter engaging... well, fuck, I feel like there's no way to describe it without putting some political spin on it. And I'm shaken by it for purely apolitical reasons. If you've seen it, you know what I mean; if you haven't, then I suggest exercising serious discretion before clicking on the link. I don't think it's something to be viewed lightly.

Also, I washed my dog. As that was the most extreme thing that's happened to him thus far today, I again am forced to envy him.
